The Dream

the_dreamI believe the most powerful tool we have is our creative minds.

“See it in your mind. Anything you can see, you can do.” I really believe that! It’s my way of saying “Don’t ever give up on your dreams, no matter what anyone says just believe.” Sometimes we need to feel someone believes in us.

A couple of years ago a friend and coworker overheard me saying those words to a special kid in my life. She said, “Maybe you should apply that to your own life.” It was a “BGO”, a blinding glimpse of the obvious for me.

It made me think. I found it easy to encourage, believe in and support some special kids in my life, but I hadn’t applied it to myself.

With this new insight, my nephew JD Long pictured to the left became the inspiration for my business. I created my first poster for him, because I believed in him, his ability and his dreams. He became my path to helping other kids, young adults and even professionals visualize their unique dreams. Many times I’ve told the “magic five”, pictured at the left, “You have everything you need already within you. Trust your God given talents and hard work.” For the first time I’m applying my words to them, to my dream. It was time.

Lets Get Started

I want to make the kids, “BIG” by inspiring them to believe in themselves. Who knows maybe it will evolve into a scholarship fund one day to help those kids who really need it.  My dream in the future is to be able to have the means to truly help those kids who really need it.

Your Dream

I’m passionate about helping you “Picture the Dream.” I’ve got a degree in Advertising Design and was for more than 25 years a professional illustrator, designer, and more recently photographer with the City of Charlotte’s Corporate Communications office. My work won numerous awards, both locally and nationally.

Your dream can become a reality. Picture your son, daughter or yourself as the subject of one of these posters. Then, look for me at your sports events. Most people might not recognize the name Debbie Fincher. So just ask someone to point out “Aunt Deb.” (Hmmm. Maybe I should have named the business Aunt Deb Design.)
